Youth Member Start Up Fee

This membership is available to anyone aged between 13 and 16 years of age and includes unlimited use of the health club, group fitness classes, indoor and outdoor pools plus free use of our lockers. All Youth members are required to attend a planning session (a parent / guardian over 18 years of age must also attend) with one of our qualified trainers before using our gym or attending group fitness classes.

The shuttle run test, commonly referred to as the beep test, is a running test that measures cardiovascular endurance. It's great way to monitor your aerobic fitness and assess your goals.

Body Attack

It is a cardio-vascular interval training program that combines high intensity aerobic exercise, strength and stabilisation. The simple routines are choreographed to inspiring music for you to get the best out of your workout.

Body Balance

It is a blend of Yoga moves, Tai Chi, Pilates and controlled breathing that enhances flexibility and strength, Suitable for all fitness levels.

Body Pump

It is a resistance class using barbells and adjustable weights to tone and condition muscles whilst raising the metabolic rate for rapid fat-burning. Works all major muscle groups of the body and is a great overall workout.

Body Step

It is a cardio-vascular program that uses a height-adjustable step. Bodystep features high intensity intervals followed by muscle conditioning tracks designed to shape and tone the entire lower body. It's simple, athletic and fun.

BodyVive

It is a group fitness workout that lets you choose just how hard you work. Using the Vive balls, tubes and optional hand weights, you are talked through the class by a skilled instructor whilst listening to uplifting and inspiring music.

Boxing Blitz

An outdoor high intensity workout utilising focus pads and gloves to perform a range of boxing techniques and combinations. A fun and effective way to increase your fitness, speed and co-ordination.

Boxing Fitness

An intense workout focusing on boxing for fitness using a combination of focus pads, punching bags and body weight exercises for muscular endurance and cardio-vascular conditioning.

CXworx

Class to get a tight and toned core. Dynamic training using tubes and hand weights to hone in on your abs, glutes, back, obliques and "slings" connecting the upper and lower body, this workout will leave you looking good and feeling strong.

Cycle

An incredible non impact class where you can work at your own intensity. Highly cardio-vascular suitable for beginners through to experts.

Cycle Circuit

A class with a difference. A combination of circuit work with cycle components. Great for both aerobic and muscular endurance.

Gym Circuit

A low impact equipment-based session in the gym incorporating resistance training.

Gymstick Core

A complete body workout. Each exercise will improve your core strength, balance, posture, coordination, muscle strength and endurance. The class is designed in an interval format, encouraging you to put in maximum effort in a short period of time.

Heart Moves

A gentle physical activity program suitable for anyone who hasn't done any exercise in a while. You can exercise at your own pace in a friendly atmosphere. Heartmoves is open to everyone and is designed to be safe for people with stable long term health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or obesity.

Lungs in Action

A community based maintenance program for people with stable chronic lung conditions who have completed pulmonary rehabilitation. Participation through prior referral only.

Movers and Grooves

The best fun you can have in a chair. This is a great light paced workout for your muscles, using a chair to assist your routine.

Pilates

Anyone of any age. Body shape and size can benefit from Pilates. This is a great overall strengthening workout, as well as helping to invigorate and energise the body through breathing and body focus that stimulates circulation and clarity.

Maximum effort on upper, lower or abdominals on the Health Club Floor.

Swim Squad

Aimed at any age, swim squad participants must be competent enough to swim a minimum of 1km continuously. Sessions focus on technique correction, skills development and improving fitness through heart rate and interval training.

Torso Tone

The ultimate experience for toning your torso using a Fit ball. Improve your postural awareness, core stability, flexibility, abdominal tone and overall strength. The workout includes cardiovascular components to improve your fitness and balance.

Walking Group

A social walking group covering approximately five kilometers through the streets of Northcote and surrounding areas. A free service open to all members of the community. Children and prams welcome.
